Since our inception, our program managers, construction managers, architects, and engineers, have been serving the specialized planning, design and construction management needs of our public and institutional clients.     Auto Center Drive Grade Separation

    SYRUSA Engineering, Inc. provided resident engineering, structure representative, office engineer, and QSD services to the City of Corona for their Auto Center Drive Grade Separation Project. project will provide better access onto Auto Center Drive, reduce traffic congestion at the existing at-grade crossing, and improve safety. The project included construction of a new bridge over BNSF’s two rail tracks to mitigate the increasing traffic. Auto Center Drive was elevated to connect to the new structure using MSE walls and retaining walls type one. This project is in an environmentally sensitive area within the right of way of Prado Dam and the flood plain of the Santa Ana River. The project also included jacking of sewer line under the railroad tracks as well as reclaimed water. In addition, the project required street improvements including the construction of 16” DIP water line, improvement to businesses, street lights, and traffic signal for West Corona Metro Station. Additionally, the project required improvements to West Corona Metro Station. Our personnel reviewed and inspected traffic control systems for lane closures. We provided complete services for preparing and processing all documentation required. This includes preparing progress estimates, change orders, daily reports, filing, drafting correspondence, etc. Our personnel work on various shifts to fulfill the contract needs.

    On-Call Construction Management Services (07A3260 & 07A3261) Los Angeles, California

    SYRUSA Engineering, Inc. is a subconsultant to Hill International for Caltrans District 7’s On-Call Construction Management Contract. SYRUSA is augmenting Caltrans District 7’s Construction Division with a wide range of positions including assistant resident engineers, field electrical engineers, landscape field architects, office engineers, office technicians, schedule engineers, and constructability reviewers.  Our personnel review and inspect traffic control systems for lane closures.  We provide complete services for preparing and processing all documentation required.  This includes preparing progress estimates, change orders, daily reports, filing, drafting correspondence, etc.  Our personnel work on various shifts to fulfill the contract needs.  All personnel have been trained in safety procedures and are equipped with safety equipment. These two contracts include over 45 projects. Under EA 0725060 SYRUSA is providing construction of soundwalls with masonry block, EA 0727860 includes soundwalls construction, and EA 074T580 and 0729210 provides maintenance safety.  EA 0728270 includes vine planting enhancement, EA 0727930 requires installing pavement delineators, install traffic signal, and under EA 0728730 SYRUSA is providing storm water source controls. Scope of Work: SYRUSA is providing Quality Assurance Inspection, Contract Administration, Construction Management, Office Engineering, Construction Reviews, Scheduling and Claim Analysis, and Final Estimates. The work on Routes 2, 14, 39, 101, 118, 138, 210, 110, 126, 134, 170, and I-5.

    On-Call CM & Inspection Services SR-58 Hinkley 4-Lane Expressway Caltrans District 8, Contract No. 08A2461

    SYRUSA Engineering, Inc. is providing Assistant Resident Engineer for the $201 million Project. This project includes realignment and widening of SR-58 from a two-lane conventional highway to a 4-Lane Expressway from post miles R22.2 to R31.1 in San Bernardino. It will also construct two interchanges on the widened and realigned portion of SR-58-one at Hinkley Road and the other at Lenwood Road. Work includes drainage structures, retaining walls, tie-back walls, street widening, AC paving, median reconstruction, traffic control, SWPPP, median barrier, slope paving, irrigation, utilities, electrical, and landscape. SYRUSA is responsible for overseeing the entire construction activities, as well as supporting the designer with field changes and contract change orders. Work also included coordination with utility companies, phone and cable companies, and Caltrans.
